My Eyes Listen Poem by Mohammad Younus

My Eyes Listen

My eyes listen
beneath the rising moon—
whispers of wisdom,
secrets encrusted like pearls and coral,
resting in the ocean's breath.

Reflections, glistening gemstones,
spill light into the night of my soul.

Your gaze, relentless and deep,
peels the veil from my being,
revealing the fragile secret
that trembles beneath shadow's hush.

Two crystal orbs—
vessels sculpted to cradle light—
hold the cascading rivers
that pour from your unseen source.

Yet my lips remain still.
And so, my eyes lift the flute,
playing melodies only you can hear.
