My Family Poem by Francine Pangelinan

My Family

Where are the dad’s that actually care?
Where are the mom’s that want to be there?
Where are the parents that love you for who you are?
Why is it that every time I leave I never get too far
No matter what has happened in the past
My anger for you both could never last
I still love you even though you make me mad
You two are my parents and I love you for that
Sure there are a lot of things that we need to work out
But we are a family and family should stick together
And help each other out, Love each other forever
That’s the kind of family that we are trying to be and that’s no doubt
