My Fated Mate Poem by Kimberly Lindsey

I thought I knew where I was headed,
Thought I knew what I was about,
I was confident and purposeful,
Then I found out…..

I found through the years,
As mistakes I made,
That I did not know anything,
Just did as I was bade.

I lost myself along the way,
Too many times to count.
Lost my focus and my vision
Didn’t know where I was

It seems I have been lost,
For so many years,
I now see the cost,
Of all those lonely tears.

I took the wrong path, so many times;
Been the host of so many fears.
I could not see where I was headed,
I was blinded, distracted, even medicated.

I now see my path, my destination;
I see where I am headed, where I am going.
All those broken dreams, and fault lines,
Were leading me to you.

You are my fated mate,
My soul mate, it is true.
God had plans, for you and I,
I was predestined for you.
