My Father's Heart
my father bleeds internally
he needs.....me
in his recovery
his heart beats erratically
his blood flows too slow
today was his surgery
to correct these things
so his blood flows properly
for this week this day and moment
I prayed relentlessly
for physical and spiritual recovery

Very heart touching poem, Andy. Touched a chord in my heart, reminding me of my Dad's surgery on his heart, and my Mom's. A difficult thing to go through, all you can do is pray for their recovery and complete healing. My prayers are with you. Take care of yourself so you can be there for him.
