In the nook of our home, where shadows dance,
Stands my father's lantern,
With its brass frame worn and glass faintly scratched,
It holds ancient stories and dreams long dispatched.
My father's lantern, worn with age,
Not for chores or wanderings
The lantern kept my dreams so near.
Each flicker whispered paths to take,
It lit our home, our hearts, our way,
On quiet nights and the cricket's soft song,
my father's old lantern is a bridge to my past,
A symbol of dreams, of a light meant to last.
