My Final Good-Bye Poem by Nicole Leeann

I know it's time for me
to say good-bye,
I've held on far to long
it's hard for me to realize
that you are gone.

It has been six years since
you've passed.
I never thought that
conversation would be our
last.

I said 'I love you' and hung
up the phone.
I never thought you would
leave me alone that night.

It wasn't your fault,
their was nothing you
could do.
You saw the head lights
but not soon enough
because you lost your
life on the night.

You had no pain,
you had no time to
be afraid.
Before you knew it
you were already
on a different plain.

I know you are in heaven
looking down.
Watching my every move.
I know I am still alive
because of you.

I will always have you
in my memory.
All I have to do is look
into the sky and I know you
are going to be there for
me when it's my time to fly.
