My First Love Poem by George Maclean Bekoe

My First Love

Loneliness is like a disease, the more you ignore it the more it becomes worse. Silencing your heart like an unbroken curse, like a chapter without its verse. Like solving a puzzle with a missing piece, its never complete even by trying all your best.
Until one-day your heart utters a word, her beautiful smile breaking an unbreakable curse, your love chapter begins to find its verse, loneliness starts to disperse.
You then realize shes the one, the missing piece of that puzzle. She smiles at you and you begin to stumble, you feel the rush your heart starts to rumble, I love you I love you it starts to rattle, letting her know is another puzzle.
Gather all courage and tell her how you feel, rejection exists but the strength of love makes it unreal. Stand up to her or even kneel, look into her eyes and tell her how your heart feels.
She smiles back at you after your confession, hugging you tight with so much affection, you realize there is nothing like neglection when her heart is your love's reflection.
Love is a beautiful thing when its true but its a masterpiece when im with you.
