Forever is just another ideal
Like perfection -
A tranquilizing lie
For a turbulent soul.

Paint me a false world -
An escape.

Save me from another heartbreak.

A picture of my own design
Devoured by the fire
They call 'reality.'

Paint me a picture of forever.
Show me it exists.
Illuminate my world.

Tell me I will live 'happily-ever-after.'

Take a chance
&
Promise me a lie

So I can find my
'Forevermore.'
