My Freedom Poem by Joe Jones

My Freedom

My heart burns with a fire within

A season of obedience followed by chains of the accursed Satan

I cry to my lord for relief and patience

Hoping his Angels or a swift decree will save me from my demons

Another year feels wasted, walking down a road filled with complacence

I look to my right and I see freedom in the heart of others.

OH I wish I was strong enough to contain them, Interrogate their hearts so I could feel their patience.

A patience I would gladly exchange my soul,
that's the price of my freedom.
