While sinking down deeper and deeper into the dark pit of grief and fright..
You were a ray of sunshine, a hand of hope
Trying to lift me up...

You brought back to me my smile, revived in me the desire to live my dreams..
You are not my best friend nor my lover,
Yet holds a place so special in my heart.
I feel for u neither love nor lust,
Just gratitude and respect.

I do not seek your love not even your nearness..
Friend, I just wish your supporting hands
Would hold me when I fall yet again.
All I wish is that you would always remain my personal sun
in the hours of deepest darkness…
