My Friend - Poem by Zaira Cepe
You were my friend, dear
That makes my problems clear
But you crossed the line
When you stole what is mine
I thought they were joking
When I saw the two of you, weren't looking
I was mad like hell
And I almost throw my cell
I trusted you because you're my friend
But you tricked me and put it to an end
Now I want to tell you something,
"Don't come to me when you need anything"
I may say this word,
But girl, he's my world
I'm not going to forgive
Until you walk and leave
So when this poem is done
Make it sure, you'll be gone.
I may be bitter
But who cares? I'm not a quitter.
