Someone I Met - Poem by Zaira Cepe
King is the guy I met
Then, my friends make a bet
If I and him were together
They'll buy me a bag with a design of a flurry feather
At first, I don't know what to say
Then, suddenly he approaches me and said "hey"
He was so curious about me
That he smiled like a killer bee
He had this beautiful face
That I was so amaze
I can't stop staring
Because of his looks, so flaring
I started to flirt a bit
And he ask me "let's talk and eat"
I don't know what to do
But my friends already gave me a clue
We talked like we already knew
What design fit for a tattoo
I don't know what makes me giggle
Is it his cute voice? Or his dimples that squiggle?
I took a sip of my coke
When I suddenly choke
Because of what he did
I totally blush because of it
He burst on laughing at me
That I push him hard that he fell on his iced tea
People started to talk
He gazes at me and look at the clock
Oh, what a shame it was already late
I can't go home alone after eight
I ask him "could you drive me home, I think? "
He replied, "Sure. It would be fine if you finish your drink."
After that, he drove me home at around nine
I open the gate to let him dine
But instead, he gave me a kiss
That's making me crazy in bliss.
