My Garry Poem by Tracy Craighead

My Garry

Rating: 5.0

Garry

I see a shadow above your head
A cloud weighing you down
A race you run that never ends
This constant thorny crown

You can move mountains with your words
Encourage the lonely child
And use your trials as a ladder
With a delivery direct, but mild

You know you are loved
Your children full of pride
Of a man they call father
Whose heart is open wide

I want to take your burdens
And throw them far away
But pain has molded you
Into this man you are today

So I will always stand
firmly by your side
As your wife and best friend
Intertwined, Forever I will hide
