My Heart Aches Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

My Heart Aches

Rating: 5.0

My heart aches
When I think about you
When flowers play in my garden
When grasses are wet with dew

My heart aches
When in the sublime dawn
The birds chirp from their nests
Shaking wings waiting for the sun

My heart aches
When you are not there
As the mist lifts up in the valley
Making the view crystal clear

My heart aches
To get back your love
To sit by the stream and seek
Blessing of the clouds hanging above

At first I thought it was about someone's passing; then realized it was the loss of someone's love. Yet either case, life goes on as the heart aches. I love this poem.
