My Heart´s Treasure - Poem by Rubiert Hidalgo

My Heart’s Treasure

My heart is like a well
That nurtures the fields
It is a treasure’s coffin
That contains the inner most
Valuable and tender feelings
Like the minerals needed by plants

A well doesn’t need much but cleaning
Just as my heart needs to be taken care of
Because only then
It will be capable of nourishing
The wonderful thing I have,

My deep love for you!
