My heart takes wings as it soars into your presence,
on and on deeper into you.
I am twirling in the aura of almighty God,
my senses intoxicated with unending love.
I am drinking it deeply, letting it fill my being,
then suddenly I’m lifted right off of my feet.
My heart is bursting with passion in response to your touch,
and though my eyes are closed, I see You,
a radiant Light that pierces the darkness within my soul,
and exposes illusion for the vapor it is.
Your light is pure white yet filled with all colors.
Your beauty is blinding yet still I can see
that love has a substance undefined by me.
You are a mystery and I am intrigued.
I could fall into you, experience you more,
yet always be drawn by what is still undiscovered.
I desire you with all of my being,
body, spirit, and soul become one in my yearning
“There is no other like you! ” I cry,
“No one who is love, no one who would die,
to show me the way to eternal life and lead me to ecstasy known only in Christ.”
