My Hearts Desire - Poem by Sydnii Ray
My heart’s desire
A widespread idea
What do I really want?
Such a fickle thing.
To feel safe?
It can never last.
A life so drab
But to what extent,
What will I have left?
Is there anything more skin deep?
To be beautiful?
But what is beauty really.
What I really want…
I guess I will Just have to see.
