My Home Is My Castle? Poem by Victor Sklyarov

My Home Is My Castle?

Rating: 4.8

I have a shabby castle of my own.
It is my home.
I must admit it’s only a flat
And, frankly speaking, it’s not mine at that.

My flat’s a ruin – no repairs
Were made in twenty five odd years
The only things bought by me here
Are books and the computer gear.

The time has come, I am so told
The whole house’s being sold!

Every home is like a castle be it big or small.......though sad to hear it is going to be sold........nay! what a life, you have spent decades with great memories on that house...........10++++++++
