An eloquent reminder: children are born with voracious curiosity because nature intended them to soak up all possible knowledge. As a fringe benefit of this, they imagine themselves among the stars. Later their lives fit into patterns decided by society. As a side effect, they endure the big squeeze of maturity. Maybe this is part of Mother Nature's plan, but it doesn't have to be so cruel.
