My Journey To Where It Counts Poem by its mee

My Journey To Where It Counts

Something drives me today
I can feel
Something inside talks to me
And assures it’ll heal

The ever enduring pain that I’ve felt
Forces me to hate the statue before which I’ve knelt
He was deaf and numb
To whom I succumbed

“Come back, come back”, I cried
The winds took her away, and she died
My little girl that she was
Left me alone, thanks to the Gods

As I lie on my death bed now
I feel safe, happy and rebound
I know I will meet her soon
This will be the end of my gloom
