My Last Breath Poem by Terry Searcy

My Last Breath

If today was truly the end
Who would you want your family or your best friend
If today you were taking your last breath
Would you be holding on to this world or welcome death
Could you look others in the face
Or get on your knees and thank God for his Grace
Would you make a mockery of this place
Tell everyone it felt like a race
Or just go through your day not thinking about it just in case
Would you think about exploring the unexplored
Or just sit around waiting for death and be bored
