My Last Poem To You My Dear Poem by Dylan Dutrow

My Last Poem To You My Dear

Rating: 5.0

You were all I ever wanted.
No matter what you got involved with I remained undaunted.
My entire world revolved around you,
Regardless of the heartache that I was put through.
I hung on to a tiny shred of hope.
And I prayed for fate to throw me a rope,
To bring the two of us back together
So I could be with you forever.
But it turned out you only gave me false hope.
You took a knife and stabbed my heart and severed that rope.
I do not know who the next good man you hurt will be.
But one thing I do know is that he sure as hell will not be me.
It is time for me to start anew.
Perhaps fix things with the girl I gave up for you.
The story of my love for you ends right here.
For this is my last poem to you my dear.
