To Anyone Who's Ever Had A Broken Heart Poem by Dylan Dutrow

To Anyone Who's Ever Had A Broken Heart

You know the pain felt when someone breaks your heart.
Life becomes so hard as your world around you falls apart.
Love is one of the most basic emotional needs.
When you don't have love your heart begs for it and pleads
To find something to fill the gap.
You look so hard that you snap,
And you actually start changing
And you begin rearranging,
The things that make up your very being,
For in so doing you think that you are guarenteeing
That you will find some one who loves you.
But you do not have a clue
As to the mistake that you are making.
You're not even yourself no more your faking.
Your best friend tries even though she knows that you she cannot heal.
You end up yelling at her and terribly upset you make her feel.
So you see in the end there is nothing that can be done,
But this is life and from it you cannot just turn away and run.
You have to get up and live your life each and every day,
And as a good friend once told me, fate always finds a way
To bring two people together,
And you two will hold each other forever.
And you will realize that nothing coud ever sever
The bond between this relationship.
As I write this poem to all of you those last few lines they make me flip.
I realize that although loneliness will cling to you like a cur,
In the end it will all be worth it when I finally,
Meet,
Her.
