Dylan Dutrow Poems

You know the pain felt when someone breaks your heart.
Life becomes so hard as your world around you falls apart.
Love is one of the most basic emotional needs.
When you don't have love your heart begs for it and pleads
...

2.

Some people spend years trying to find it.
They search high and low just to get denied,
But to defeat they refuse to submit.
To find what they miss they will go worldwide.
...

Every night you go to sleep feeling like your alone.
You try to help your friends with their problems but your own you do condone.
You miss the feeling of love.
You pray for God to send you help from above.
...

There is no explanation
For they way I feel sitting outside her door.
I feel this incredible sensation
I've waited sixteen long years for.
...

You were all I ever wanted.
No matter what you got involved with I remained undaunted.
My entire world revolved around you,
Regardless of the heartache that I was put through.
...

I try and I try but nothing ever goes my way.
I go to sleep at night praying tomorrow will be a better day.
But somehow every day is worse than the one before.
All I want in this forsaken life is someone to adore.
...

You were all I ever wanted.
You were the best I ever had.
Now you’re gone and I’m left feeling so so sad.
The fact that you have left to me just doesn’t feel right.
...

I've stuck by your side no matter what.
Of the many that left I was one of the special few.
But so many times I feel invisible to you.
I've tried to tell myself it's just my emotions taking over.
...

With flowing blonde hair
And eyes a sparkling green.
You may never fully know
Just how much to me you mean.

To Anyone Who's Ever Had A Broken Heart

You know the pain felt when someone breaks your heart.
Life becomes so hard as your world around you falls apart.
Love is one of the most basic emotional needs.
When you don't have love your heart begs for it and pleads
To find something to fill the gap.
You look so hard that you snap,
And you actually start changing
And you begin rearranging,
The things that make up your very being,
For in so doing you think that you are guarenteeing
That you will find some one who loves you.
But you do not have a clue
As to the mistake that you are making.
You're not even yourself no more your faking.
Your best friend tries even though she knows that you she cannot heal.
You end up yelling at her and terribly upset you make her feel.
So you see in the end there is nothing that can be done,
But this is life and from it you cannot just turn away and run.
You have to get up and live your life each and every day,
And as a good friend once told me, fate always finds a way
To bring two people together,
And you two will hold each other forever.
And you will realize that nothing coud ever sever
The bond between this relationship.
As I write this poem to all of you those last few lines they make me flip.
I realize that although loneliness will cling to you like a cur,
In the end it will all be worth it when I finally,
Meet,
Her.
