My Lesson In Love Poem by Anna Tran

The sun doesn’t come out anymore,
And the sky is now dark and black.
Since you ran out that door,
Are you sure you are never going to come back.

Without you as you can see,
My world is sad and blue.
Because I thought we were meant to be.
But I guess our love never grew.

Each step I take,
And each breathe I swallow.
I knew that it was going to be a mistake,
Because my heart would always be hallow.

I thought that we were perfect for each other,
Through the sad times and the worst.
But why did I even bother,
To think that you would be my very first.

Now it is time to let you go,
Because I don’t deserve someone like you.
Let’s now close the show,
And forever end this debut.
