My life is like a river, that flows with gentle ease,
Always there, ever present, an object placed to please,
To drink cool refreshing water, to wash and set you free,
To ease your mind and body, to bathe and just to be.
And through the course of human life, you will often find,
Another person, like yourself, to whom a bond you'll bind,
All the mixed emotion, that flows throughout your veins,
But do you know them well enough to release to them your pain?
And when your thirst for life has gone, no tears for you to cry,
And your life is just a barren desert and your left to wonder why,
When I'm almost forgotten; just take time to stop and think,
That there's a river here; always flowing; that will always let you drink.
