Phillip Alan Green Poems

Life seems so empty,
Without the chitter-chatter in the background,
Bed lies cold as your eyes,
As I creep within the house that has no sound.
...

I sit in isolation,
Upon this woody hill,
Darkness, my clothes surround me,
The heavens are my will.
...

My life is like a river, that flows with gentle ease,
Always there, ever present, an object placed to please,
To drink cool refreshing water, to wash and set you free,
To ease your mind and body, to bathe and just to be.

We all are lonely and floating people in this modern city.
...

By day, I smile,
At life as it passes by,
Ignoring all the chatter,
Feeling inside that life, just doesn't matter,
...

‘I am dead.’ This echo races through my mind,
Breathing deeply I await the feelings,
The shadows of my life come forth.
As I stand beneath the entrance of the ring.
...

Her lips once fresh and long and wide,
But underneath she hid the lies,
I didn't know then of her cheating crime,
The smile that lied a thousand times.

Don't make the same mistake,
You made with me before,
Don't say that you still love me,
As I know what lies are for.
...

At first my love, begins so small,
Slow at pace, with beating heart,
With sustenance, like love will grow,
Waiting for it's life to start.
...

Always late for eyes to look at fresh trouble,
Throat dry from repetitive thinking,
Good evening to Sir and Madam,
But coudn't give a damn for those repetitive drinkers.
...

Broken Daddy, are you broken? My angel said to me,
Tears that flowed from my mask, as she sat upon my knee.

I'll fix you Daddy, I will I will, just you wait and see,
...

Upon the empty ocean,
Across the empty sea,
A little man treads water,
That little man is me.
...

A glove upon a wall,
Quietly it remains,
For a passing child,
So innocent and small.
...

Unborn love develops inside,
A mind that cannot see,
The redness of cocoon comfort,
Warmth that sets us free.
...

Serenity lives this peaceful morning,
The sighing of the wind through the trees,
Communicating thoughts and feelings, fortunes,
On the breath of the breeze.
...

17.

I am alone, tears hit me,
Takes over,
No longer strong or in control,
But a child in the mirror.
...

18.

To eyes,
That saw beyond the lies,
And love,
That which will never die,
...

Down the mountain side,
The river runs its' course,
Towards the beckoning sea,
It leaves its very source.
...

Cold stone sober, naked and immense,
Dark walls cloaking, complete silence,
This your surrounding days will pass,
Patience awaiting crowding mass.

Don'T Give Up On Me

Life seems so empty,
Without the chitter-chatter in the background,
Bed lies cold as your eyes,
As I creep within the house that has no sound.

To think that he reaps,
The fruits of my labour,
But no man or he who passes for one,
Can come close to;
Those blue eyes and golden hair,
That look up and say unconditionally,
'I love you daddy',

Shivers; tears; strength.

No man, not even in a dozen years,
Of piggy backs, swings and slides,
Can touch us.

We are safe in the power of our love.
