My Life With You And Him Poem by Chelsea Lybbert

My Life With You And Him

Arguing and yelling is all we do,
Since the day I broke your heart,
I went out with you and said I love you,
But what is love anyways?
I starting to get another feeling,
One that grew and grew,
He stole my heart,
Took it from you,
Probably right from the start.
I was too ignorant to see,
What was happening,
Between you and me.
I was falling in love,
He was your best friend,
I didn't know what to do,
I needed a helping hand.
My heart said one thing,
My mind said another,
What was I supposed to do,
Who could I turn to.
My mind and heart fought,
The battles tore me in two,
I went to my room and thought,
Who would be better for me,
Who would help me grow,
Who wouldn't break my heart.
He was all I could think about,
He fit the mold.
He's the one I love,
The one I can hold.
With my decision,
I broke your heart,
Tore it to pieces,
Ripped it apart.
I tried to say I'm sorry,
I tried to apologize,
But you believe I've lied,
You think I played with your heart,
Just like babies play with toys,
But no matter what you say,
No matter how you feel,
I know I made the right choice,
Because now I've learned, ,
Who I am,
Who I want to be,
Who I'm spending the rest of my life with,
And who makes me whole.
