My Little Mothy Friend Poem by Marilyn Lott

My Little Mothy Friend

He didn't want to leave me
I told him that he must
He seemed so very comfortable
He seemed so full of trust.

When I tried to let him go
He clung so very tight
But he could not stay with me
That really would not be right.

I begged and then I pleaded
"Please Moth let me go"
He clung even tighter
He seemed to love me so.

But finally I put him on
The steps of my home
"Please little Moth, " I pleaded
"You really now must roam."
