My Little Secret....

Rating: 5.0
I'm going to tell you a secret
With words that are honest and true
The time is approaching midnight
The date, unimportant to you

I rarely convey such high spirits
The opportunity rarely occurs
My minds more accustomed with sorrow
And that's what my passage prefers

But today, and I speak as a matter of fact
My wish was finally met
So unexpected, a meeting of fate
With the one I could never forget

A 'hey' and a 'hi' til' the nerves settled down
Then we spoke of all things, old and new
I remembered his charm and the past we had shared
And was touched he remembered it too

The encounter unplanned but a timely occurance
He hinted the same with his smile
So postponing our plans and neglecting the time
We decided to walk for a while

Conversing was casual and easy
A kind and familiar place
Though relaxed, I was charged and excited
And an impulse led to embrace

I left with a tone of elation
With numbers exchanged and a kiss
Reminding myself how enchanting it was
To be near him, to just reminisce

Im ashamed to confess I still love him
With a love that will always remain
So this is my little secret
And I'l never confess it again
