My Loneliness Poem by Belquis Barés

My Loneliness

Loneliness, sweet companion,

silent witness of my sorrow.

Surrounded by your embrace

I'm able to become reconciled

with my internal rithm.

Loneliness, that you accompany me

in crucial moments,

allowing to listen to

my own voice and fears.

I owe to you the certainty of knowing

that I'm strong enough

to get through crossroads.

Loneliness, you allow me

to fill the whole space

with the tresures of my life:

Those memories and learnings,

those emotions

with wich my soul vibrates.

Loneliness, faithful companion,

Teacher of the art of knowing

How to coexist with oneself:

To you I offer, today, my homage.
