My Lord, A Mortal Singer Am I Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

My Lord, A Mortal Singer Am I

My Lord, a mortal singer am I
As the dongs sing I
Tend to my limits and barriers,
The boundaries and barriers
Encircling me,
The fear gripping me
With regard to life and death
And living.

But Thou the Singer Divine
Singing the songs of uninhibited joy,
The songs celestial
Transcending the barriers,
Transcendental and metaphysical
Transforming and metamorphosing us all,
But I a singer of my range
Down to earthly realities.
