MY LORD AND MY GOD
During those moments when my strength wears out and I don't seem to have anywhere to go and a shoulder to cry on, when dreams are but nightmares let me still declare with St Thomas My Lord and My God.
Life is treasurable and has so much to offer but though we hear people say the sky is a limit times like these when we are not sure where to touch and we don't even know how tomorrow will end allow us to still trust and declare with St Thomas My Lord and My God.
The second term in schools is coming to an end and the children and grandchildren are going to get into the examination term, yet I sit here and worry how those fees are going to be paid, I even worry as to whether these children are going to make it with their exams. My trust in you as master of the wind seems to be faint. Revive my faith and allow me to declare with St Thomas My Lord and My God.
Better days are yet to come and I am tempted to believe they are on the way but how long it will take I have no control over. I do trust you my Lord but every time I turn to you for answers I see things getting worse - the economic situation, the social and political situations with the media taking pride in reporting only the sour events when I expect a ray of hope. Even then allow me to declare with St Thomas My Lord and My God.
Doctors were given that knowledge by you Lord and they should not have a final say over my health and yet my human fears creep in when doctors say my health is at risk, when they say it is a 50 50 situation. Allow me at this moment to see in you the El shaddai - the all-powerful, the rafa - healer of my life and declare with St Thomas My Lord and My God.
