My Love Poem by Gregory Beland Jr.

My Love

I've been poisoned by you.
With heart wrenching pain I fell to the floor again.
By myself alone.
Broken.
These tears pour for you like the feelings I had.
Are they leaving my heart, my soul, one dropp at a time?
How much longer before there's nothing left?
A new slate.
A new canvas that I can paint, with elegant lines that only I can translate.
I'll understand myself.
Understand you?
Impossible.
Understand yourself?
You don't.
Find her.
By then I'll be gone.
By then the tears will have fallen and there will be nothing left.
Rage.
But I'll find my warmth again.
Under the moonlight with someone else's hand in mine.
Only in time.
These tear drops will be forgotten.
The talks of forever, and growing old together.
Never.
No more will I after the pain that I suffer by the knife that you twisted.
All the poison you spit into my soul.
All these promises.
All these things we wanted.
All this time I wasted... Gone..
