My Love- A Shakespearean Sonnet Poem by Natalie Sapphire

My Love- A Shakespearean Sonnet

My love is as pure as a bar of gold,
It is more sweet than a robin's song.
My love is too precious to break the hold,
And only to me it can belong.
The long summer days
Filled with birds, flowers, and fun.
He gave me a gaze,
And whispered, 'It has only begun.'
But now it is fall,
The days grown too short.
Now I can recall
My lost love of the sort.
My love is no more, and I'm happy as can be,
Because now i have fallen for my kittens, all three.
