My Message Poem by Kevin East

My Message

Words.
I have written
Spin through the air.
Like reddened leaves
From deadened trees
At Autumns' fair.

Rhymes I hung
On bells that rung.
Reverberate
In a lonely soul.
Somewhere.

So late
In a moonlight dance
Stars explode
To then enhance
True romance in silver plume
That drifts away.
Yet my message that wafts across her room
Will kiss her cheek.
A million miles away.
