My Most Precious Gift Poem by Mark. A Heathcote

My Most Precious Gift

I am the daughter of today.
The sister of tomorrow
And the mother of yesterday.
I am your son and heir.
The brother of your past
And the father of your future.
You are my firstborn, my second,
Third, fourth and fifth,
You are my child many times removed.
But still, my most precious gift.
My most precious quintessential gift.
