My Mother In The Night Sky Poem by Victoria Gauci

When I look at the night sky and see the bright stars,
I know when I look up that's where you are,
Watching over me and keeping me safe,
I'm happy to feel you, your presence is grace,
In all my hard days and sometimes my nights,
I battle my demons and keep fighting the fight,
I find my power deep from within,
When my feet hit the floor my goal is to win,
There are people who love me that I know you've sent,
To hear me and listen when I need to vent,
I thank you from the very bottom of my heart,
For staying so close and remaining a part,
Of my existence here on this planet called Earth,
You've taken care of me since my moment at birth,
You're still taking care of this child you bore,
I miss you so much and I will ever more.
