My Mother's Love Poem by Tee'k Aminu

My Mother's Love

The love of My mother
I cannot get from any human,
Not even My father
I cannot show it to any woman.
Selfish and insecure in my part
Yet, She keeps me at heart.
Sitting on a platter of Gold
As Her love is a zillion fold.
In the most blistering of cold
Suiting, more than anything is Her
hold.
Better than any diamond blanket is
her tarttered cloth
wrapped around me.
Cries; when am sad
Childish and cheerful; she feels glad.
My mother, My world.
A knight i am, yet, she's my Sword.
Thousands of miles away
Still...I hear her pray.
'Let no harm come your way,
Come sunday, come saturday'.
Unrefined, yet, well defined
Just My mother's Love.
Unsubscribed, yet, well prescribed
My world, My mother.
When I lacked words,
She was my speech.
When I lacked thoughts,
She was my mind.
My wealth, My health
My debts, My mother's.
...And when she sober,
I wish to hold her.
When I lacked peers,
She was My friend.
Unlike a movie,
My mother's love...has no end.
