My Mum Poem by Tracey Pierce

My Mum

Rating: 5.0

She was always there,
to answer me for every little need,
to laugh with me, sing with me,
she taught me how to read.

At times, I didn't feel like talking
and somehow, she understood,
didn't say that she needed me,
but I always wished she would.

Now, I wish I could have more times,
to show her that I cared,
to tell her how important she is,
and talk about the times that we shared.

I could have shown more love,
so much more than I did,
I never... did give enough back,
even though I was just a kid.

These are the things I wish I had done,
things that I wish I had said,
there won't be a day I won't miss my mum...
But she was my mum and I'm glad...

Nostalgic. Very touching. Well communicated. So many of us can identify, having had the same experience. Wish you the best. 10
