I saw him in his green pasture
Within the snow white fence
So deep in thought he was
His beauty so immense
I wanted to walk up to him
So we could have a little chat
I wondered if he’d welcome me
Not sure where his thoughts were at
I went ahead and took the chance
Walked up closer then to see
How truly beautiful he was
As he stared straight ahead at me
His feet were tremendously large
His markings so perfectly done
So serious was his demeanor
Like he never had much fun
He clopped closer suddenly
And I looked into his eyes
He winked his left eye quickly
Well, that was a big surprise
Didn’t matter he had four legs
I knew I’d found a new friend
I visited him from that time on
I will always remember him!
