My Open Door Poem by Natalie Nicole Story

My Open Door

I love you Lord
You have done so much for me
Thank you Lord
from the depths of my soul
but from whence is this?
this time, this place
do you want me to take my leave
or become a long time running character
in this man's one man show
I asked for a sign
I will ask for another

What happened to him my friend
did the world beat him up
bruised, battered, wounded, shut up
does he know you, your love
that you unconditionally love him
may I be so blessed to be the one to tell him?

I await your instruction
your nod, your peace
the greenlight, the yield sign
the stop don't speak
all of these are possible
and many, many more
while I stand here in front of my open door
