My Other Half Poem by Adegbite Adeyinka

My Other Half

I see the curves that adorn your smiling face
And the way your eyes bat when you call my name
The sweet savour of your endearing grace
I desire your love than wealth and fame
I'm in awe of your composure and shine
So much I cannot wait to make you mine
Deep oceans swell from down my belly
It signals how much I love you, so dearly
You are not perfect but you are good for me
You are not just a lady, but more than three
If I miss my way, you are the shadow that guides
When I'm hopeless, you are the hope that finds
When you sleep, I hope I am your dreams
And when you thirst. I'll be your flowing stream
I hope I'm all you have wished and prayed for
To hold you, love you, to care and adore
