My Own Destiny
I
From the ashes, that was brought about by the fire
Of my emptiness inside
I will rise up like the phoenix
From the depths of the abyss
That I now sit
II
I will fight the tyrant that he who now bludgeons my back
In this pit of empty blackness
Though they may have battered me
Beyond my body, as you may see
III
I am not afraid
I will hold my head high
I am my own man
I have will have my own time
