My Prayer For Her Poem by F.L. Racca Sr.

My Prayer For Her

Rating: 5.0

As I stood there, you had faced the other way as not to show me your pain,
but I could see by your stance that you were not right,
At that moment I asked in heavenly hope; “are you alright”
Your response from one small wave of your hand assured me you were not
I knew then that something was wrong, and immediately I began to pray.
Lord, hold her pain that she feels so deep within her soul;
so that she must not and will not start to stray.
Enlighten her heart with this prayer so it’s you she will know.
Give her strength for without it she may not remain to stand,
Please Lord, please I pray answer my prayer!
Not for me but for her tethered existence that I now see
In this which is now her moment of need.
For I know with your presence that what seems hopeless becomes possible, and
that darkness becomes a light for her to walk by while you hold her hand.
Lift her inner faith to be brave and strong,
So that she will certainly carry on.
