My Prayer To Thee Poem by Jo Lynn Ehnes

My Prayer To Thee

O, hand of God, thy divine presence missed
in rainbows bright and waves that brush ashore.
O, Holy One, a nation gone adrift,
I pray we sense the heart of thee once more.
To see thy face upon the mountain strong
and hear thy whisper in the morning breeze.
To bring us back to thee where we belong
before thy wrath shall bring us to our knees.
O, Father, let us feel thy loving touch
in every walk of life upon this land,
before thine enemy holds in his clutch
thy people who are fooled by his command.

In crying voice I send this prayer to thee,
to lift the veil and help thy people see.
