My Precious Nile Poem by Sekyewa Godfrey

My Precious Nile

My Precious Nile.

I sing of the treasures of the Nile.
What a magnificent creature you are!
Very gentle like a newly born lamb
You who walks as though you were dancing
To the finest tunes of an expert drummer.

Alas! Your teeth so white and sparkling
Like the snow that falls in winter
You are a hive full of clotting honey
Yet hidden in the deep heart of the thickets.

Your pimple free face defies any rash
Like the skin of an apple.
Your eyes a pair of sun flower seeds
Placed in a jar of water free milk.

Look at her love laden eyes
That incite violence
From the lustful bearded youths
And burns deep into them like an ulcer.

Her melodious voice penetrates deep
Into the flesh of mankind
Like a double edged Kung Fu sword
Reverberant echoes of her voice are a violin.

Her sharp piercing breasts are tempting
Sharp like the mouth of a needle.
An oasis in the desert and
A flickering flame in the whispering darkness.
