Whispers Of The Moon Poem by Sekyewa Godfrey

Whispers Of The Moon

Whispers of the Moon.

Daylight joyfully brags by
Scudding along the mute sky
To take its rest
In the garnished nest
Behind the silent hills
With proud intoxication of sleeping pills.
Echoes of darkness kiss the protruding rays
And into exile the sun strays
To announce the impatient nightfall,
An emissary of the moon's call.
Glimmering sky patrolled and lit
And relieved of the day's heat.
Amidst the guard of the stars waiting,
The moon finally comes whistling.
