My Promise Poem by Janis Land Raymer

My Promise

You bring out in me
a hatred I never knew
I was capable of feeling.
You inflict emotional pain,
distress,
bitterness,
your own version of
poison.
You polllute
and contaminate.
You're not hppy...
probably never have been-
and are deternined to prevent
anyone else from achieving it also.
You cannot beat me.
Not only will I be happy,
I will thrive...
and when you die-
I will lead the dance!
