My Quest

You say you love me
yet
you shy away
feeling threatened
by your emotions
afraid
of letting go
of the past
the pains
the complexities
of reality.
Why do you constantly
shon me away
am I not deserving
of your love
anymore?
may it be
or not
I have but one quest
to lay your treasure
of love
back into my arms
to rest.
